The reason we built this

Raising capable kids in the AI era is a responsibility we share.

Most children now use AI before any adult has shown them how it works or where it fails. Handing kids powerful tools without judgment isn't right. Here is what accredited research says.

As we hand kids powerful tools to expand what they can make, we owe them the guidance to use those tools responsibly, which this workshop will teach.

Concern → how we address it

Every worry maps to something we teach.

These risks come from the U.S. Department of Education, UNESCO, and the FTC. The workshop is built to answer each one directly.

Kids trust AI answers without questioning them.

We teach source checking. Kids separate fact, inference, and made-up information, then run a source checking challenge. UNESCO warns AI output isn't grounded in real-world understanding, so we make verification a habit.

AI can replace a child's own thinking.

Humans stay in the loop. Kids make the decisions; AI assists. This mirrors the U.S. Department of Education's central recommendation to keep human at the center.

AI scams and fakes now target families.

We run a scam & fake-content activity. Kids learn to spot AI scams, the exact fraud the FTC has issued rules against, and learn what to do when something feels off.

Kids overshare with chatbots and apps.

Privacy rules and guardrails. Clear, age-appropriate rules for what to share, what to keep private, and why, consistent with UNESCO's call to protect children's data.

Kids work in cross-age groups where older and younger explorers learn from each other. Every child leaves with something they made and can explain.

Roohi brings more than 17 years of experience in enterprise transformation, product leadership, and applied AI. She founded Subodhi.ai to promote responsible and practical AI use, and she teaches kids by the same standard she sets for the teams she advises: keep human judgment at the center.

Answers before you ask.

You don't technical knowledge or any prior AI experience to register.

Does my child need to know how to code?

No. The workshop is about understanding, questioning, and creating with AI. Kids who love to code will find room to go further; kids who've never coded will keep up comfortably.

Is it safe? What about privacy?

Yes. We use age-appropriate, supervised tools, and privacy rules are part of Day 1. Kids learn what to share, what to keep private, and why which is consistent with UNESCO's guidance on protecting children's data.

What devices should we bring?

Bring your own laptop or tablet. Application and setup details are shared with your registration confirmation so your child arrives ready.

How are the age groups handled?

Kids are grouped by age for instruction, then work in cross-age project teams so older and younger explorers learn from each other and work together as a team.

What will my child walk away with?

Core understanding of AI and a project they planned, built, tested, and presented. Plus the judgment to check AI's answers and spot scams. Families are invited to the Day 2 showcase to see the work.
